Another popular beach among local tourists, Ao Vong Duen can be accessed directly via boat from Ban Pae or songtaew from Na Dan Pier. Ao Wai

Ao Wai offers a tranquil and picturesque beach front, a far cry from the honky tonk backpacker scene of Sai Kaew Beach or Ao Phai. However, being this remote means that your resort is pretty much all of Samet Accommodation is basic here, but if all you need is a place to sleep and a secluded beach , then Ao Wai is an ideal choice.

Ploy Talay

Located on Saikaew Beach, this is one of the most well known night spot on the island, a restaurant by day, it turns into a bar and nightclub as the evening continues. They have a very popular fire show, it begins at 8:45 and can run for around 45 minutes on busy nights. A regular mix of tourists and locals make this often the busiest venue on Samet.

Naga Bar

Normally the busiest bar on the island, Naga bar can be found just after the end of Saikeaw Beach, near the mermaid statue covered in day glow paint it resembles it’s own mini full moon party every night. Cheap prices and strong drinks make this Koh Samet nightlife venue popular with younger tourists and backpackers.

Phra Aphai Manee and The Mermaid

The statue was erected in honor of the most famous classic poem - Phra Aphai Manee, history of the princes, wise men, mermaids and giants, which was written 150 years ago by a great Thai poet Sunthorn Phu. The author Sunthorn Phu was one of the country's greatest poets and lived himself on Koh Samet.

Nadan pier

Highlighted with a statue of a female demon, this blue and white pier is the major one where most of the travelers have to lodge before heading to other destinations on Koh Samet Island. The pier hosts some shops, counters, and you can also find a store, vehicle rental shops, and a Songthaew station just nearby.
